LEGACY BEATS FRENSHIP ON ROAD

WOLFFORTH – Legacy improved to 2-0 in District 2-6A play following a 24-26, 25-20, 25-23, 25-17 win over Frenship on Tuesday.

The Lady Rebels (26-14 overall) roared back to win after dropping a hard-fought first set.

Emalea Hicks led LHS with 20 digs and four aces, Josie Griffin had a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs, Caitlin Beckham compiled 23 assists, Angelina Gomez also had a double-double with 11 digs and 20 assists, Jerzy Schafer notched 11 kills and Rylea Tercero recorded three blocks.

Legacy meets crosstown rival Midland High in a battle of 2-0 teams at 5 p.m. Friday at Chaparral Center.

The Lady Tigers fell to 20-14 and 0-2.
